According to CNNMoney.com, Houston County, GA is #21 in the entire nation for job growth. Since 2000, the county in central Georgia has seen jobs grow by 28.7%
Although Robins Air Force Base receives most of the credit for the superior employment conditions in Central GA, the article points out the job growth taking place at companies such as Frito Lay and Perdue Farms.

The White House is trying to convince Americans that "HOMESTAR" will create tens of thousands of jobs, ease our dependence of foreign oil and save households $200 - $500 a year in energy costs.
Nick-named after the "Cash for Clunkers" program, "Cash for Caulkers" was originally unveiled back in December, to great skepticism. Critics were concerned about the cost of the program, deficit spending, and the failure of last year's $767 billion stimulus bill to create jobs.
